eLearning Projects

I am currently working on a project to help future Yoga Teachers learn how to teach specific yoga poses. These interactive training modules will help teachers memorize scripts for poses and understand the benefits of each pose. For this project and others I have used Adobe InDesign, Adobe Captivate, Articulate and Camtasia. See the examples at: Yoga Learn

I also do graphic design work including training handouts and Infographics.

Archival Projects

For spring break 2006, I participated in a project at the Archives Center of the National Museum of American History, a part of the Smithsonian Institute. For this project, I assisted the archivists in converting their current finding aids to be DACS compliant. Examples of these finding aids are available below in word documents.

While there, I also worked physically re-housing a collection of photographs of Dorothy Shaver, a pioneering female president of Lord and Taylor.

Training Projects and Programs

At Gale Cengage Learning, I designed and created online and onsite training programs for professional development. Most courses were approved by state officials for Educator Continuing Education Credits for statewide teacher certification.

I have helped write, create, and record On Demand Training Videos using Adobe Captivate and Camtasia. These videos are designed to teach teachers, librarians, and students.

At Gale Cengage Learning I have created Training and Marketing handouts like those on the Tipsheet Website. For onsite training programs and to integrate the resources into the classroom, I created product specific exercises and scavenger hunts.

I also conduct Project Based Training programs to better facilitate Adult Learning.  Examples of project based training seminars I designed for Educator Professional Development Inservices are the Training 1 and Training 2 programs.  Another Project Based workshop I created is at: Gale Training.

Current Research

I am currently working on a personal research project based on a collection of archival papers, housed at the Bentley Historical Library. An example of the artwork housed in this collection is below.
